According to the ASPCA, approximately 5 million to 7 million companion animals enter animal shelters nationwide every year, and approximately 3 million to 4 million are euthanized (60 percent of dogs and 70 percent of cats). If you know of an abused animal, please contact the City of Las Vegas Animal Control immediately. Animal Control offers 24-hour service, seven days per week. Normal hours of operation are 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. An emergency callout officer is available after normal business hours.  Their 24-hour service request line is (702) 229-6444.
